Below are the few tips in terms of a checklist for your resume.
- Resume Objective – Make sure the objective of your resume is “attention grabbing” and tells very clearly for which job you are applying.
- Resume Types – There are different types of resumes like functional, chronological and mixed. If you are not sure which to use, we suggest you go for the functional resume.
- Action Verbs – Make sure you are using really good and strung action verbs (like achieved, addressed, formulated, incorporated, negotiated etc.) to show your abilities and skills.
- Proof-read – Proof read your resume at-least twice. Also, if possible, ask your friend also to proof read your resume at-least once.
- Printable Resume – Make sure the resume you are sending is in printable format. Not all employers prefers to see the resumes online.
- Resume References – Keep the details of your references ready, so that they can be provided if required.
